How to Override Empty HP Ink Cartridges
Not only do HP inkjet printers give you high quality images with brilliant colors, but they also come with the added advantage of having refillable ink cartridges. While refilling your ink cartridges is good for the environment, sometimes you can run into problems when trying to reinstall them into your HP printer. There is a quick and easy way to override this error, allowing you to continue using a refilled printer cartridge over and over. |

1, Turn off the HP printer by pressing and holding the “power” button. |

2, Turn the HP printer back on by pressing the power button and allowing it to run through its setup procedure. |

3, Install the refilled ink cartridge by opening the access door on the HP printer. |

4, Click “Ignore” on the two dialog boxes that appear on the computer screen, warning about printing with empty ink cartridges. |

5, Click on your computer’s “Start” menu, then click “Control Panel” and “Printers.” Select the HP printer that is connected to your computer and click on “Preferences” before clicking on the “Maintenance” window. Disable the ink level monitor and click “OK.” |
